Privacy Policy
Short version: Luxempoche does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There are no analytics, no ads, and no tracking of any kind.
Who we are
Luxempoche is a personal project developed by Mathieu François, based in Luxembourg. It is a free iOS application that aggregates publicly available transport and city-service data for Luxembourg.
What we collect
Location data
If you grant location permission, your device's location is used only on your device to show nearby services and calculate distances. Your location is never transmitted to any server.
Live Activities
If you start a Live Activity (for example, to track real-time parking availability), the app communicates with our server to keep it updated. This connection:
- Does not involve any personal data
- Cannot be used to identify you
- Is automatically cleared when the Live Activity ends
What we do NOT collect
- No personal information (name, email, phone number)
- No account data (there are no accounts)
- No analytics or usage tracking
- No advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- No device fingerprinting
- No cookies or web tracking
- No crash reports sent to us (we rely on Apple's standard crash reporting)
Third-party services
Luxempoche fetches data from the following public APIs to display real-time information. These requests are made directly from your device or via our intermediary server, and no personal data is included in these requests:
- mobiliteit.lu — National transport data (GTFS schedules, real-time departures)
- Ville de Luxembourg — City bus departures, parking availability, fountains, playgrounds
- vel'OH! — Vel'oh! bike-sharing availability
- Chargy — Electric vehicle charging station status
- data.public.lu — Open data portal (pharmacies, letter boxes, speed cameras, water levels)
- POST Luxembourg — Letter box locations and collection times
- Flex — Car-sharing vehicle locations
Data retention
Since we do not collect personal data, there is nothing to retain. Any temporary data used to power Live Activities is automatically cleared when the activity ends.
Your rights under GDPR
As a resident of the European Union, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, port, and object to the processing of your personal data. Since Luxempoche does not collect or store any personal data, these rights are inherently fulfilled.

Children's privacy
Luxempoche does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 16. The app does not require an account and does not ask for any personal details.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change our data practices, this policy will be updated accordingly. Since Luxempoche is designed around the principle of minimal data collection, we do not anticipate significant changes.
